TO LOCATE INDIVIDUAL SUPERDELEGATES READ TIPS BELOW
You start by clicking http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Portal:Superdelegate_Transparency_Project/Delegate_information_by_stateThen you'll find a map of states.
Then you click on individual states...where they provide a LIST of superdelegates AND their status...including uncommitted
Then you can click on individuals...and are linked to a site with a wealth of information about the individuals...either a phone number (usually) or at least a web site to find their phone number. Plus...their background so you can better understand their deepest concerns, convictions, track record, etc. (There are instances when contact info is not readily available.)
FOR example If you click on California you'll find one of the undecided superdelegates is Michael Honda (according to their site on 6/21/08) Click on Michael Honda and you'll find contact information plus his voting record, affiliations, etc. It gives you a feeling of who he is as a person...not just a superdelegate
Obama supporters have flooded SDs with e-mails through this site.
Please, please e-mail today and answer the poll.
RESPONSE TO ENTRY
How accurate is Lobby Delegates.com?
And I have yet to see a SEND button for emails, only PRINT.
I also don't like how they used a first name basis for the SD. I would never think of addressing former Vice President Mondale as Walter, he's Mr. Vice-President Mondale (and he's backing Hillary ). I prefer to address these people formally, as I am making a formal request or statement to them. I will not "Barry-ify" their names since I respect them and their office.
Also, the preview didn't even list an address for the VP. Is Lobby Delegates.com simply a template site? Or do you really get something more for the $5 request? Like real mailing addresses and real email addresses? How do I know the address listed for the other SDs are legit? One looked like a home address. I will have to dig back in my files from late February/March and see what addresses I used back then. It was not easy finding one for the former VP.
I thought this would be simpler and quicker than snail mail, but so far I'm having trouble.
ANSWER TO RESPONSE
SDs Names and Addresses
The addresses posted are correct. It is possible that many SDs who are not elected officials use their home address. Some are retirees, stay-at-home parents, or their employers might prohibit using the organization's mailing and e-mail address for political activities.
The e-mail link is the same as post. If you have problems, you can e-mail the administrator. He responds quickly.
